Trelfa & Co solicitors offer advice and representation on children matters including:-
Parenting Plans. This is an agreement prepared by the parents to deal with the day-to-day care and needs of children.
Child Arrangement Orders. The order may decide with whom a child is to live. Also, when and how a child is to spend time or otherwise have contact with a parent or someone else. A child can live with both parents for an equal or unequal period of time. Contact can be either personal or by way of an alternative means such as telephone, letter or Skype.
Specific Issue Orders. These are used when parents are unable to agree on how a child should be brought up, for example which school a child should attend or whether they should receive certain medical treatment
Prohibited Steps Order. This is an order restricting a parent from taking certain actions in relation to a child, for example preventing them from removing a child from the UK or from changing their schooling or surname. Please note we do not deal with child abduction cases. There are specialist solicitors who have expertise in this area.
Jill Trelfa offers mediation to help parents agree arrangements for their children, whilst taking into account what is best for the children.
